I caught the perfect light today, and found a subject too<\/p>\n
Sitting in the sunlight and soaking up the view<\/p>\n
lap dog perched upon his lap, cool breeze blowing through<\/p>\n
wanting nothing more from life but \u2018cope\u2019.<\/p>\n
These are the sort of images I\u2019m trying to pursue<\/p>\n
So I keep my camera ready now \u2013 in Hope.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The image joins a handful more of moments in the frame<\/p>\n
Occurring on this street with its optimistic name<\/p>\n
Nothing great or grandiose, but important just the same<\/p>\n
For, great and small are still subject to \u2018scope\u2019<\/p>\n
So if the shutter falls, it is not to bless or blame<\/p>\n
It is just a way to show a life – in Hope<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Hope Street runs from East to West for round about a mile<\/p>\n
The houses, \u2018same but different\u2019, in eclectic country style<\/p>\n
Wide as the local river, as straight as any aisle,<\/p>\n
And, but for one exception, without slope.<\/p>\n
I bought a little house and I planned to stay a while<\/p>\n
So it is safe to say \u2013 I live in Hope.<\/p>\n

The Saturday morning soccer fields hope for a Socceroo<\/p>\n
The vacant blocks wait for a building project to ensue<\/p>\n
Meanwhile they hope for playful kids to build a fort (or two)<\/p>\n
The footpaths hope for skates or skipping rope<\/p>\n
I hope that I will see them all, and capture just a few<\/p>\n
